Women Of The Lens Film Festival is calling on Black British and international filmmakers to submit their films, web-series and broadcast productions for the 2020 festival, which takes place online from 7 to 28 November 2020.
Women Of The Lens was created to highlight and celebrate the achievements of Black women in the UK creative industries. In its fourth year, the festival is expanding to celebrate stories from not only Black British filmmakers, but from emerging and established filmmakers and producers from around the world.
“Whilst our stories are by, of and for Black women, we sincerely welcome allied women – and men – who will support the ethos and spirit of Women Of The Lens through their own work,” reads the festival’s submission page.
As well as film screenings, the festival will feature high-impact discussions with professionals that tackle the interests of the industry. Submissions are open for: Features-Documentary/ Narrative, Short-films-Narrative/Documentary, Animation and Anime in all genres. Included in submissions are broadcast, web-series and podcast productions in all genres.
Submit your film via Filmfreeway. Submissions close on 30 October 2020.
