Women Over 50 Film Festival (WOFFF): Call for Entries

February 9, 2021

Women Over 50 Film Festival (WOFFF) is an inclusive festival which celebrates and champions older women in all their diversity on screen and behind the camera. WOFFF returns for its 7th annual short film festival, taking place 25-26  September 2021. The festival is currently open for submissions of short films made by or about older women. Submit your film before the 21 July deadline.
Each film screened at WOFFF has to follow this one simple rule – it must have a woman over 50 at its centre or a woman over 50 in the core creative team (writer, producer or director).
WOFFF films are as varied as the filmmakers who make them. The WOFFF20 programme boasted tales of love, work, family and COVID, as well as films about menopause, a tree that falls in love with a man, a champion sardine packer, dancing in lockdown, FGM, and a team of senior synchronised swimmers in Harlem.
More information on WOFFF and how to submit your films is available here.
WOFFF awards prizes for:
Best Animation
Best Experimental
Best Drama
Best Documentary
Best Short Script
Best Student Film
Audience Choice
