Wesgro, in collaboration with Intimacy Practitioners of South Africa (IPSA), will be hosting a webinar – on 17 November from 14h00 to 16h00 CAT – on the Impact of Intimacy Coordination on the Film and Media industry. Film practitioners are invited to the webinar which is aimed at discussing the historic and current practice on the handling of scenes involving nudity and intimacy in the Film and Media industry both in South Africa and across the globe.
IPSA experts will address what an Intimacy Coordinator is, what they do on set and the positive impact they can have on a production to help facilitate the creation of intimate scenes as imagined by the writer and director, while mitigating risk, saving time and money, and making the scenes safe and comfortable for performers and crew.
During the webinar, the experts will look at the responsibilities of each department during every stage of production – from the planning stage through to post-production. In addition they will outline the objectives of IPSA, and the support its members will be able to offer your production, whatever the budget or time scale. The webinar will end with a Q&A session.
