The 8th annual Simon “Mabhunu” Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards has opened its call for entries. The awards ceremony will be hosted virtually this year for the second time around.
The awards have since 2013 celebrated heroes, legends and veterans who have made a mark in the film industry. An initiative of the Economic Development Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) and supported by the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission, the awards are aimed at celebrating the craft of film making and encouraging aspiring and established film makers. Production companies, accredited film schools, film associations and other film bodies are encouraged to submit their entries. Deadline to apply is 29 April.
