The Mobile Film Festival Africa has announced that an impressive 497 films were submitted from 38 countries on the African continent for its 2021 edition. The festival invites filmmakers to create and submit films in any genre according to the unique format: 1 Mobile, 1 Minute, 1 Film.
The official selection – composed of 51 films from 23 countries – is currently being presented online on the festival’s website and social media pages. The winners of the 2021 edition will be announced on 25 March. An independent jury will decide on the awarded films which will win grants for a total of 18.500 €. There is a special award for Best Female Filmmaker with a grant of 1500 €.
