Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Africa recently recognised the Ladima Foundation as an organisation at the forefront of empowering women in film and television across Africa.
The WIFT Africa team’s statement on the award stated that, “Through advocacy, capacity-building and strategic partnerships, the Ladima Foundation has created pathways for women to lead, produce and thrive in media industries across the continent. Their work continues to elevate African women’s voices and expand opportunities in storytelling, production and creative leadership. We celebrate the Ladima foundation for championing gender equity and inspiring systemic change in Africa’s screen industries.”
